Oil painting:   Mainly Michael Harding oil paints on  Arches oil paper.

Drawing: Usually Kent Edition 160gsm or Daler Rowney Heavyweight cartridge paper. Currently I am  mainly using  Derwent Graphic pencils. I sometimes use good quality hot pressed watercolour paper (e.g. Sennelier).

Watercolour: Winsor and Newton Artists’ watercolours and Daniel Smith watercolours. Currently Mainly Saunders Waterford 300lb NOT paper. Current palette mainly: , quinacridone red, transparent pyrrol orange, winsor orange (red shade),,quinacridone gold, quinophthalone yellow, permanent sap green, perylene green, winsor blue (green shade), ultramarine blue.

I use those Seawhite hard back books with black covers for sketching.

I usually make the frames for my own pictures. I use a Nobex mitre saw, a old secondhand Keen mount cutter bought on eBay, a Dakota mitre trimmer, Logan Studio joiner,  a ratchet strap and several quick release clamps.

Canvases are framed tray-style in pine and painted in Daler Rowney Cryla Artists’ acrylic.

Frames for glass are usually in a simple style in Ash, left natural or finished with liming wax or ebony wood stain.  I use conservation grade mount and backing card. The glass is either WaterWhite float or from the TruVue anti-reflection range. I get most of my framing supplies from Wessex Pictures.
