This is me at one of GoFigure’s outdoor sessions last summer.

Since Lockdown I’ve mainly been doing various projects at home.
In May I did a series of seven paintings concerning the NHS Frontline workers and lack of PPE.
I then decided to do some transcriptions of Old Master paintings, including Piero Della Fransesca and Guercino, a project I may return to.

These paintings are large, oil on linen, as is Uncertainty, about the pandemic, using transparent glazes.

Mother was influenced by Grayson Perry’s Our Mother and Our Father sculptures.

A couple of visits to Eycott Hill in October inspired a series of landscape studies and paintings.
I’ve called this last painting of 2020 “No Turning Back“, Oil and acrylic on canvas. 70cm x 70cm
